TOYOTA has introduced its 2020 Harrier in its home market JAPAN. The 2020 Harrier is based on the brand's TNGA-K underpinning and is a monocoque construction, unlike the Fortuner's ladder-frame IMV platform. Toyota will be selling its Harrier only in the developed markets. There is no chance to introduce it in the Indian market, but there is a chance for LEXUS which is similar to the harrier.

HARRIER is 4.7m long, it is only offered as a two-row model. The styling is sharp, as with other new Toyotas, and is accompanied by quite heavy contouring along with its bodywork. Much like the Camry, the front-end styling is quite impactful with the sharp nose, large grille, and slim headlamps. This sporty look follows to the rear as well, with the raked-off windscreen, and slim full-width tail lamps.

The Toyota Harrier is a mid-size SUV that the Japanese automaker has been making in Japan since 1997. The export models of the Toyota Harrier were sold under the Lexus brand as the Lexus RX. But when the third-generation model was conceived, the Toyota Harrier took on its own identity, while the Lexus RX that uses the same underpinnings became a more luxurious version of the same SUV. Now Toyota has revealed at the all-new fourth-generation model and it has made big waves online as people are going crazy about the looks of this stylish mid-size SUV.

It is powered by a 2.5-liter petrol engine that is equipped with electric motors. The powertrain develops up to a claimed 222hp. A 2.0-liter petrol-only version is also available which puts out 171PS and 207 Nm. This can also be had with an AWD version. The gearbox choices here are a 6-speed manual and a CVT.
